Porcelein Veneers

If you have teeth that are stained, chipped, gapped or worn, porcelain veneers may be what you need to improve your smile. A veneer is used to correct the color, size and shape of a tooth. It looks, functions and feels very much like your real teeth.

These cosmetic dental solutions are thin caps made of porcelain which are bonded to the exterior of the teeth. The procedure will only require 2 visits to our office and only a small amount of tooth structure will be removed.

Should You Get Veneers?

Veneers are the most natural-looking cosmetic restoration in the history of dentistry. The material used is also the one that is most compatible with the gums. If taken care of properly, porcelain veneers can last a lifetime. Unlike bonded fillings, veneers are resistant to stains and are less likely to chip. They are an excellent solution to front teeth cosmetic issues.

To ensure your porcelain veneers do not get damaged, you need to maintain an oral hygiene regimen at home and see your dentist regularly. Habits like nail biting and biting into hard foods must also be avoided.

To find out whether you are a suitable candidate for veneers, please call our office at (516) 268-5830.
